Lovable app not showing up on Google or ChatGPT? Here's why
Built an app with Lovable and nobody finds it? Snoffle reads it the way AI crawlers do (no JavaScript), checks what Google returns for your buyers' questions, and tells you in plain words what to fix, for $29. Most of the time the cause is the same: the first thing a search engine or AI tool gets from your app is an almost empty page.
Why it happens
Lovable, Bolt, Replit and most Vite or React apps send the browser a nearly blank HTML page, then build what you see with JavaScript. A person never notices. Crawlers do:
- AI crawlers don't run your JavaScript. Vercel measured the major ones (OpenAI's GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User, and Anthropic's ClaudeBot): none of them rendered JavaScript, though they did download the files (Vercel, Dec 2024). So they read the blank page.
- Google can run JavaScript, but later and not always fully. A page that only exists after scripts run is slower to get indexed, and a new site with no links pointing to it can wait a long time.
- Nobody told Google the site exists. No sitemap, no Search Console, no links from anywhere.
Check yours in 30 seconds
- Open your site. Right-click and choose View page source (or press Ctrl+U, Cmd+Option+U on a Mac).
- Search the source (Ctrl+F) for a sentence from your headline.
- If it isn't there, AI crawlers can't see it either. That's the problem.
Also open yoursite.com/robots.txt. If it shows your homepage instead of a short text file, crawlers get no rules and no sitemap. On our own app ClipCut, Snoffle found exactly that on 2026-10-31: llms.txt, .well-known/agent.json, sitemap.xml all answered with the homepage or did not exist.
The four fixes that matter
- Put your words in the raw page. Your headline, what it does, who it's for and the price should be in the HTML before any script runs. Ask your coding tool to pre-render or server-render the landing page, or to add a plain HTML section with that text.
- Serve a real robots.txt and sitemap.xml as files in
public/, so they aren't swallowed by your app's routing. Point robots.txt at the sitemap. - Connect Google Search Console and submit the sitemap. Lovable has a guide for this in its docs.
- Label your product for machines: a small JSON-LD block with the name, description and price, so AI tools can state it correctly.
None of this guarantees you'll rank. It removes the reasons you can't.
What Snoffle does
Snoffle reads your site the way AI tools do, searches the questions your buyers ask, and asks an AI assistant what it would recommend. You get every fix in plain words and one prompt your coding tool can paste in, written for your site's real files.
Quick answers
- I built an app with Lovable and nobody finds it. Can you check whether AI tools and Google can even see it?
- Yes. Snoffle reads your app the way AI crawlers do (raw page, no scripts), searches Google and asks an AI assistant the questions your buyers ask, then lists every fix in plain words with a prompt your coding tool can apply. One report is $29.
- Why is my Lovable app not showing up on Google?
- Usually because the page Google and AI tools first receive is almost empty (the content is built by JavaScript afterwards), the site has no real robots.txt or sitemap, and Google was never told it exists. Check View page source for your headline text.
- Do AI crawlers like GPTBot and ClaudeBot run JavaScript?
- Vercel measured them in December 2024 and found the major AI crawlers did not render JavaScript, though they fetched the files. Put your key text in the raw HTML.
